# Tokenomics

* [**Staking / Missions**](/whitepaper/staking-missions/the-missions.md) - The majority of the tokens (60%, 120M) are allocated to staking/missions as this is the primary source for users to earn $BERRY.\
  The distribution done via this channel is subject to a [deflationary mechanism](#undefined) explained below.<br>
* **Liquidity** - In every [market](/whitepaper/token-berry/token-marketplaces.md) where $BERRY is present, these are used to provide initial liquidity of the token. If the team decides to launch a Liquidity Pool (LP) these tokens will be used.<br>
* **Promo / Events** - All project giveaways, promotions, freebies, handouts, events will be sponsored by this pool to enable the main mission pool to function as intended, despite having more or less events / giveaways / etc happening at any given time.<br>
* **Team** - These tokens are set in a ***reserve pool*** to compensate people working with the team, may it be a one time deal or on a regular basis. Team $BERRY are locked by the founders and are tightly controlled to avoid diluting value.

For every 30M $BERRY earned by users on [missions](/whitepaper/staking-missions/the-missions.md) this mechanism is triggered and ALL mission rewards, including [Special Missions ](/whitepaper/staking-missions/special-missions.md)rewards, are cut by 25% (to a rounded approximated value).\

This event is planned to trigger at 30M, 60M and 90M $BERRY distributed, putting some pressure on supply and increasing $BERRY's value over time.
